 Can I sell my location?

Yes ... that’s part of the fun!

• Secure a location that other people may want - famous landmarks, buildings or places of interest ... and sell them for profit!
  A desert island, a piece of the Great Wall of China? What about a palace or a football stadium, or even your neighbours house!

   I am real though ... and can walk, talk, and carry lots of boxes!
   I was born at a young age and now I live in a box down-under.
   myBox is kind of my 'baby'.

 Where did the idea for myBox come from?

Crikey - that could be a novel - better get a coffee and take a seat!

• myBoxintheWorld is the development of many personal ideas and inspirations I've had over a period of time.
  I initially developed it to address the frustrations that businesses often experience when trying
  to promote their products or services successfully - and cost effectively.
  
  Brandinabox was my original working concept. It was unique, using a series of interactive competitions, purposely designed to drive consumers to the products and services of companies.
  It proved to be very successful, serving over 4 million interactive messages - in a very short period of time.
  The experience I gained with Brandinabox gave birth to myBoxintheWorld.
  
  I thought it'd be cool to develop a 'one-stop' interactive solution, which brought together people & businesses, on a local, national, and international basis, whilst creating awareness of the great work done by not-4-profit organisations around the world. The Google maps API was the final and important ingredient in bringing it all together.
  It all grew from there ... and will incorporate lots of other things, whilst maintaining the focus on community, engagement and interactivity.
  
  It started as a project ... which became a 'mission' ... which developed into a loads of fun and personal satisfaction!
  
  ... and there's more (LOL)
  I've been in the advertising game for years ... worn many hats ... for many people ... in many places!
  I've pumped the gas, shook the hands, burned the candles, drank the coffee, know the stories, and got the badges.
  
  Thought it was time for me to play my part and try to make a difference - if I can!
  Create an interactive & fun media vehicle - that guaranteed results - at a very low price!

 How can I share my location?

There are a few ways to share this ...

• Share this WEBSITE:

  Button at the top of each page
  Your friends will receive the website link - by email
  Share it
  

  Share your box LOCATIONS:

  Click on your box location (or marker) on the map.
  In the 'popup' display window there is a 'Share this box Location' button (bottom-right corner).
  Click it, fill in the details and send
  
  Your friends will receive an email with a link to your specific box location.
  This links anybody directly to your promotional box location on the map.
  
  

 How do I send or receive messages?

Sending

Registered site members can send messages to box owners (membership is free - Register >)
- Click on any box location on a map
- Click the SEND A MESSAGE button in the box popup
- Write your message, enter your login/ password and SEND

Receiving

You will be notified by email when you receive a message from your BoxintheWorld
- Login
- Messages are viewed on your box-management page
- You can READ - REPLY - BLOCK - DELETE

 What image size & formats are best?

You can upload any sizes of images, as they are resized by our server software

For your Map Locations (images on the maps)

• Box Size 1 = 188 pixels x 188 pixels (.jpg, .gif, .png)
  Box Size 4 = 376 pixels x 376 pixels (.jpg, .gif, .png)
  Box Size 16 = 468 pixels x 468 pixels (.jpg, .gif, .png)
  
  

  For your Slideshow images (inside your box popup)

• 252 pixels x 148 pixels (.jpg, .gif, .png)
  You can use smaller images if you want, but they will look 'blurred' when zooming in close.
  
  

For your Wall of Fame image

• This image is automatically created from your map location image.
  
  

 How do I edit my location content?

Login: use your email /password

• Box Management page:

  
  > Click the name of your box.
  > Enter details you want in your box.
  > Browse (button) to find the image you want from your computer for your map location image.
  > Browse (button) to find the images you want for your location box slideshow
  > Enter text content into the areas provided.
  > Save
  
  After any editing always SAVE.
  Your location on the map will then be showing all your content.
  You can edit your content at anytime.
  
  TIP : Prepare, modify, scale & optimise all your images BEFORE you upload them..
